The flagship combination
This is the route for travellers who have one day in Flores and want the signature landscapes of the park plus real water time — not a rushed photo circuit.
Kanawa is the closing stop and the reason this beats the standard three-stop combo sold elsewhere: it sits outside the busiest boat lanes, its house reef starts a few fin kicks from the jetty, and it gets the longest single block of the day.

- Padar viewpoint — a 30–45 minute stair-and-trail climb to the ridge over three curved bays
- Pink Beach — blush sand tinted by red foraminifera, plus the shallow reef just off it
- Manta Point — a drift snorkel over the rubble channel where reef mantas feed and get cleaned
- Kanawa — the longest block of the day on a walk-in house reef

Putting Padar first is deliberate: the hike is far more comfortable before 09:00, and it puts the longest open-water leg on the day’s calmer morning water. Kanawa last means the final memory is unhurried reef time, with the shortest crossing home afterwards.

Frequently asked questions
Will we see Komodo dragons on this tour?
Not on the standard combo — dragon trekking on Komodo or Rinca is a separate ranger-guided activity with its own fees. On a private charter we can build a dragon stop into the day; it lengthens the itinerary, so tell us when you request your quote.
Is the Padar hike hard?
A steady 30 to 45 minute climb on steps and gravel trail, done comfortably by most reasonably fit guests. Bring closed shoes or grippy sandals, water and a hat. The early slot exists precisely to keep the climb cool.
Can beginners snorkel at Manta Point?
Yes, with conditions. It is a drift site, so the crew assesses the current first, everyone wears a life jacket unless they opt out as confident swimmers, and a guide stays in the water with the group. Anyone can sit a round out and spot mantas from the deck.
What happens if the weather turns?
Departures follow harbourmaster and park authority decisions. If the crossing is restricted we reschedule at no penalty, or adjust the routing to protected water where possible — always agreed with you in writing first.
