A programme, not a boat booking
A standard group charter is essentially private boat hire priced by passenger tier. This is different: your company books an outcome — a team day with a run sheet — and every element is adjustable. Some companies replace the games block with a facilitated workshop on the beach; others compress the whole thing into a half day for conference groups on a tight agenda.

Capacity per boat tier
Capacity is the first decision, because the vessel determines comfort, timing and budget. These are comfortable corporate capacities, not maximum licensed capacities.

Above forty people the day runs as a multi-vessel convoy — usually one phinisi as flagship plus one or two speedboats as shuttles, radio-coordinated so the whole company lands and departs together.
The standard run sheet
The default shape of a full retreat day. Every block is adjustable.
- 07:30–08:00 Hotel or office pickup in Labuan Bajo, group check-in at the harbour with a printed manifest.
- 08:00–09:15 Crossing to Kanawa, with a welcome briefing, safety orientation and an optional icebreaker on deck.
- 09:15–12:00 Morning block — guided snorkel clinic on the house reef, then rotational team activities on the beach.
- 12:00–13:30 Catered lunch under shade, with room for informal networking or a short leadership session.
- 13:30–15:30 Afternoon block — island games, free swim, or an optional hop to a nearby sandbar.
- 15:30–17:00 Return crossing with a wrap-up or awards moment, arriving in Labuan Bajo before dusk.
The activity menu
Designed so non-swimmers, senior staff and adventurous juniors all have a role.
Catering is arranged in Labuan Bajo and served on board or at a shaded beach setup: an Indonesian buffet as standard, an expanded seafood and salad spread for client-facing groups. Vegetarian, no-pork and allergy-specific plates are prepared separately when declared on the manifest at least 48 hours ahead. Alcohol is not included by default and is served only on the return leg, at the organiser’s written request.

Vessel recommendation, run sheet and written quotation, valid for a stated period so you can get internal approval.

How far in advance should we book?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for groups under twenty; six weeks or more for phinisi-tier or multi-vessel retreats, especially in the July–August and December peak windows.
Can the retreat include Padar or the Komodo dragons?
Yes, but it changes the format. Adding Padar or a ranger-guided dragon trek extends sailing time and shrinks the team-programme block, so it is usually only worth it for groups prioritising the sights over the programme.
Do non-swimmers have to snorkel?
No. The programme is rotational, so non-swimmers can join beach games, stay with the shaded catering setup, or use flotation-assisted shallow-water sessions with a dedicated crew member.
Can we get a formal invoice for reimbursement?
Yes. A written quotation, a company invoice and a payment receipt are standard for every corporate booking, issued before and after payment.
