Kanawa Island Honeymoon Package: Private Romance Day
Charters · Two guests

Kanawa Island Honeymoon Day

A private, couples-only day from Labuan Bajo: your own boat, a quiet stretch of white sand, the house reef to swim, and — if you want them — a sunset dinner on the beach and a photographer who knows where the light falls.

What the core day includes

The package is built around privacy. Unlike a shared boat, nothing about the day is negotiated with strangers — departure time, how long you stay in the water, and when you leave the beach are all your call.

  1. The boat, exclusively

Private speedboat transfer from Labuan Bajo and back, yours for the whole day.

  2. A departure that suits

Most couples leave between 08:00 and 09:30. A late start for a sunset-weighted day works too.

  3. Crew who stay out of it

Captain and assistant handle anchoring, gear and timing, so neither of you manages logistics.

  4. The reef, and the rest

Snorkelling gear for two, water, fresh fruit and snacks on board. Lunch confirmed when you book.

Not included by default: alcoholic drinks, national park fees if you extend into park waters, and any island facility charges. These are stated on your quote rather than discovered on the day.

How the day runs

Adjusted to the couple, always. A typical structure as of 2026:

  1. 08:30 Meet at Labuan Bajo harbour, briefing with your captain, and away.
  2. 09:30 Arrive at Kanawa. First snorkel over the house reef while the light is high and visibility is at its best.
  3. 11:30 Beach time on a quieter stretch of sand, away from the day-boat landing where conditions allow.
  4. 13:00 Lunch, then the short ridge walk to the panoramic view over the shallows — the most photographed spot on the island.
  5. 15:00 A second swim, a paddle, or simply an afternoon that goes nowhere.
  6. 16:30 Head back — or stay for the golden-hour session and beach dinner if you have added them.

The two add-ons couples actually book

Neither is required, and the core day stands on its own without them.

Sunset beach dinner

Needs 3–5 days’ notice

A private table set on the sand, simple decor, lanterns, and a set menu confirmed in advance. Subject to island management approval and weather — when a sand setup is not workable we propose dinner on the boat rather than cancelling the evening.

Professional photographer

Golden hour or half day

A photographer joins the boat and delivers an edited digital gallery afterwards — the ridge viewpoint, the jetty, candid frames on the beach. If photography is the point of the trip rather than an extra, the dedicated photography charter is built around light from the start.

Proposals and vow renewals sit alongside these: flowers, a cake, or a discreetly briefed crew. Tell the desk the plan on WhatsApp and the crew works around it.

What it costs

Indicative rates as of 2026, per couple.

Quoted per booking. Indicative only. Final pricing depends on season, vessel, requests, fuel and current island and park fee schedules. Kanawa itself sits outside the main Komodo National Park ticketing area as of 2026, but any extension into park waters adds official fees — the exact current total is confirmed in your written quote before you commit.

How to book

  1. Message the desk

Your dates, and any add-ons — dinner, photographer, proposal.

  2. Receive a written quote

Boat, inclusions, add-on prices and total, usually within a few hours.

  3. Confirm the date

Dinner and photographer slots are only locked once confirmed.

  4. Reconfirm the day before

Weather check and your exact harbour meeting point.

  5. Show up

That is genuinely the whole of your job on the day.

Before you book

The questions couples send before locking a date.

Is one day on Kanawa enough for a honeymoon trip?

For most couples based in Labuan Bajo, yes. The island is small, the reef starts at the jetty, and a full private day covers swimming, the viewpoint and sunset without rushing. If you want to wake up on the island, the stay desk covers current overnight options, which change season to season.

Can we combine the day with Padar and Pink Beach?

Yes. The private boat can route via the park highlights before or after Kanawa. That adds park fees and fuel, so tell the desk and both versions are quoted side by side.

What happens if the weather turns bad?

Safety decisions sit with the captain. If conditions prevent departure the first move is to reschedule to the next available day; where that is impossible the cancellation terms on your booking confirmation apply. Beach dinners move on board or reschedule when wind or rain makes a sand setup unworkable.

Do you arrange surprise proposals?

Regularly. Brief the desk privately on WhatsApp and the crew and photographer are informed while your partner is not. Rings stay with whomever you nominate until the moment.

Plan your private day for two

Send your dates and whatever the day should include — dinner, photographer, proposal, or simply a quiet island and nobody else’s schedule. You get a clear written quote before you commit to anything.
