Who decides a day does not sail
The harbourmaster and the captain, in that order, and neither decision is negotiable. Official Indonesian maritime forecasts are monitored in the 48 hours before every departure, and no skipper here is pressured to leave.
If the route closes you choose between a free reschedule to the next available day, a switch to a more sheltered itinerary where seas allow, or a refund of the unused boat portion. In the water
Kanawa’s house reef is one of the gentlest entries in the region, and it still has currents.
- Snorkel with a buddy, or in a group of three or more.
